Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 May 2026
This is an agreement between you and the Krapla team about using the service at krapla.app. Written in plain language — but it's legally binding if you use the service.
TL;DR: Krapla is free, we do our best to keep it running but offer no guarantees. Don't use it for illegal stuff, and remember — it's a bookkeeping tool, not a financial advisor.
1. Who we are
Krapla (the "Service", "we") is a non-commercial project at krapla.app.
Contact: info@krapla.app
2. What Krapla is
Krapla is a web service for tracking personal finances and finances of non-profit organizations, with features:
- Recording income and expenses
- AI-powered transaction categorization
- Receipt-photo OCR
- CSV data export
- Analytics and charts
- Shared budgets (for organizations)
The Service is provided FREE OF CHARGE, "as-is".
3. Registration and your account
3.1 Age
You must be at least 14 years old to use Krapla. If younger, ask your parents.
3.2 Creating an account
Registration requires:
- A valid email
- A password (min. 8 characters)
- Email confirmation via OTP code
3.3 Your obligations
- Provide truthful information on registration
- Keep your password secure
- Don't share the account with others
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
3.4 One account per person
Don't create multiple accounts for one person. Shared budgets are a separate feature — no new account needed.
4. How AI categorization works (important)
When you type a description ("medicine 200") or upload a receipt, Krapla uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to suggest a category.
AI categorization is:
- ✅ A helper that speeds up bookkeeping
- ✅ Learns from your corrections (Б27)
- ✅ Accurate in 80-90% of cases
AI categorization is NOT:
- ❌ Financial advice
- ❌ A tax advisor
- ❌ Guaranteed error-free
Your responsibility: verify AI results. If a category is wrong — fix it, the AI will remember. Don't use Krapla data for tax filings without human review.
5. What's NOT allowed
You may not use the Service for:
- ❌ Any illegal activity
- ❌ Money laundering, tax evasion
- ❌ Storing other people's data without permission
- ❌ Attempting to hack the service (SQL injection, DDoS, scraping, etc.)
- ❌ Reverse engineering, copying code
- ❌ Building a Krapla clone
- ❌ Automated bots for mass registration
- ❌ Uploading malicious content (malware, illegal content)
We may suspend or delete your account without notice for violations.
6. Your content
Everything you enter into Krapla (transactions, budgets, descriptions) is yours.
We:
- Don't claim ownership of your content
- Don't use it for marketing
- Don't publish it
- Don't share it with third parties (except sub-processors — see Privacy)
Exception: anonymized statistics (e.g. "80% of users have a Food category") may be used to improve the service.
7. Intellectual property
7.1 Our content
The "Krapla" name, logo, design, and site code are our intellectual property. Don't copy without permission.
7.2 Open source
Krapla is not open source (as of May 2026). This may change — watch for updates.
7.3 Your content
Stays yours (see section 6).
8. Availability and Service changes
8.1 "As is"
The Service is provided "as is" with no warranties. We do our best to keep it running, but:
- We don't guarantee 24/7 uptime
- We don't guarantee data will never be lost (though we do backups)
- We don't guarantee the AI is always correct
8.2 Maintenance
We may temporarily disable the service for updates. We try to warn you, but sometimes it has to be quick.
8.3 Feature changes
We reserve the right to:
- Add, modify, or remove features
- Change the design
- Limit the free tier in the future (with notice)
9. Account deletion
9.1 You delete your account
Request deletion via info@krapla.app. We delete within 30 days. CSV export is available in settings before deletion.
9.2 We delete your account
We may suspend or delete your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- The account is inactive for over 24 months (with email warning)
- A competent authority requires it
- It threatens the safety of other users
10. Limitation of liability
Please read carefully.
To the extent permitted by law:
- Krapla is provided "as is"
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages
- Maximum liability — €0 (because the service is free)
- We are not liable for decisions you make based on Krapla data
- We are not liable for losses caused by AI categorization errors
If you live in a jurisdiction that doesn't allow full limitation of liability, we limit it to the minimum allowed.
11. Disputes and applicable law
11.1 Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine.
11.2 Before going to court
If you have a claim, please email us first at info@krapla.app. We'll try to resolve it amicably.
11.3 Court
If amicable resolution fails, disputes are heard in the courts of Ukraine at the location of the Krapla team.
11.4 If you're in the EU
EU residents may exercise consumer rights at their place of residence — these Terms do not limit those rights.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we'll notify you by email or via a prominent banner at least 30 days before they take effect.
Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them. If you disagree, you may delete your account.
